Always aware of promotion, The Zoo did a lot of news releases. In fact, remember when you would hear bulletins like "Sunshine in Plano needs a ride to San Francisco.. will share gas costs?" It was also the time for awareness - The Zoo published The Urban Survival Handbook -- full of tips for fighting landlords and treatment of the clap. Those were the issues of the day.
